Telecom ABC - A
The .au file format is a format for audio files. The file consists of a header of 5 32-bit words, an optional part with information and then the data. The audio file can contain a number of different types of encoding including audio without compression. The actual coding used in the file is defined by a coding field in the header section. The format was introduced by Sun Microsystems and is used primarily on UNIX platforms.
