Transmit Power Control (TPC) or sometimes called Dynamic Power Control (DPC) is a mechanism used in radiocommunications to reduce the power of a radio transmitter to the minimum necessary to maintain the link with a certain quality. TPC is used to avoid interference into other devices and/or to extend the battery life. TPC is for example used in GSM and in certain types of Radio LANs.
